Comparing Hades and Hades 2: Family and friends content

I’m not gonna write a long one but recently I picked up Hades 1 again after seeing all the complaints about the ending in Hades 2 and man… I remember why I’ve spent more than 200 hours on the first one.

I just love beating my dad in mortal combat LOL. And I love how in Hades 1 it becomes like a routine thing between father and son?

Like “Hey Pops, I’m going to do you one for the last time” or something and if you beat Hades, he goes “Shit not again… but good job, son”

Then you go back to the House of Hades, then you look for your mom, or your pet dog, or your “step-mom”(?), your teacher and your friends.

It feels very homey, and that’s what I’m not getting from Hades 2.

Now, I’ve been playing EA and yes, I know, it’s been made very clear that the games are very different. Meli’s literally fighting armies for her family, so it’s SERIOUS.

But yeah, I think that’s the biggest diff for me. In Hades, I wanna go back cuz of the warm vibes I get from helping dad fix the security system. Hades 2? Yeah, gotta kill this evil crone again who happens to be a version of my now-redeemed grandpa.

And I come back to meeting myself from the future, her fwb (?) and my friends/people who hate me?
