Was I awake or dreaming? I could see my dream even with my eyes open.

So I had this really weird experience and I don't know what to call it — sleep paralysis? lucid dream? 4th dimension moment? lol

I fell asleep and started dreaming, but at some point I became aware that I was dreaming. I tried to wake myself up, and eventually I did — or at least I thought I did.

I was awake, like physically awake… I could move. But the dream was still going. It was like my body was awake but my brain kept projecting the dream in front of me.

I got freaked out so I closed my eyes and even covered them with my hands — but I could STILL see what was happening in the dream. Almost like I had a screen inside my head playing the dream in real time even though I was awake. I wasn’t paralyzed, I could move, but the dream visuals wouldn’t stop.

It felt like I was half in this world and half in another. Has anyone else experienced this? What is this called? Because it honestly felt like I was peeking into another dimension for a moment.
