Customs and duty free
I'm travelling from the UK to the EU and after buying 2 litres of alcohol from the duty free store in London, I realized you're only allowed to bring in 1 litre to the EU. I have now refunded one of the bottles so I am just carrying one litre but before I bought the 2 litres I was asked to scan my boarding pass. Does this mean the information regarding what I initially bought will be passed on to the authorities of the country that I am travelling? I don't know what happens with the information duty free collects after scanning someone's passport. Should I have a conversation with the customs agents when I arrive?
