Japan 11 day itinerary suggestions

Hello! We're plan to have our honeymoon in Japan in the last week of January- up to the first week of February. We wanted it to become a mix of a real honeymoon with the vacation trip.

We wanted to maximize JAL'S multi city booking that allows us a domestic flight ticket. We have two options:

1. mnl >Sapporo (via Tokyo) for the first half (probably 5 days). Then Sapporo to tokyo for the remainder until return

2. The same time frame but instead of Sapporo, we will go to Kanazawa.

We wanted to Maintain tokyo but we opted out of the other known spots like Kyoto, Osaka, Nara. Is this a good idea or are there other options you can suggest? Thank you!
