Contacting IRCC regarding application

I tried a month or so ago to contact them via the webform a little over a month ago just to confirm they are processing my application but only got an auto reply. It's been quite a while now and I noticed that some folks here have been able to get communications from their case managers and I'm curious how you did that? I've also heard about emailing the long address again and I was wondering if you have gotten any results from that?
