Bank of America vs Local Credit Union

Saving

I have had Bank of America for over 20 years. Two years ago, I started doing all my banking using the Fidelity Cash Managment Account (CMA). It can do everything I can with a traditional bank other than deposit cash and cashiers check that I never used. I keep $1500 in there to avoid the monthly fees.

Despite loving the Fidelity CMA which is online only, I like the idea of having a brick n mortar bank. I don't know how but it might come in handy later.

Should I keep the BoA or close it and open a local Credit Union checking account?
