In this tutorial, I explain **how to automate YouTube using n8n**, so you can post, manage, or analyze videos automatically without manual work.

The workflow connects YouTube API with n8n to perform automated tasks like uploading videos, fetching analytics, or managing playlists.

# Instructions

* Installed **n8n** (you can run it locally or on cloud)
* A **Google Cloud Console project** with YouTube Data API enabled
* Your **Client ID** and **Client Secret** for OAuth 2.0
* A **YouTube Channel** linked with your Google Account

# Setting up Google OAuth in n8n

1. Go to [https://console.cloud.google.com](https://console.cloud.google.com)
2. Create a new **OAuth 2.0 Client ID** (Application type: Web App).
3. Set **Authorized redirect URI** to: [http://localhost:5678/rest/oauth2-credential/callback](http://localhost:5678/rest/oauth2-credential/callback)
4. Copy the **Client ID** and **Client Secret**.

**Create Credential in n8n**

1. Open **n8n** (usually at http://localhost:5678)
2. Navigate to **Credentials → Create Credential → YouTube OAuth2 API**
3. Paste your **Client ID** and **Client Secret**
4. Click **Connect** — it will open a browser window to authorize your YouTube account

# Build the Workflow

1. Click **New Workflow** in n8n
2. Add the following nodes:
   * **Manual Trigger** (to start manually)
   * **YouTube Node** → Select operation (e.g., *Upload Video* or *Get Channel Statistics*)
