“Bye Gojo, see you tomorrow!”

Marin smiled brightly at Gojo, who smiles back and walked out of the classroom a bit before her. She walks down the hall, down the stairs, and finally out of the school building. As she walks home, she stretches her arms up high and yawns—exhausted from all of her school work.

“God I hate math”

“Tell me about it…”

“WOAH! Mister! You can’t just sneak up on girls like that!”

Marin scolded the man in the middle of the narrow street, pointing her finger. The man was a bit ugly, fat and very hairy. She meant no harm, she had just been scared.

“Sorry, my bad little lady”

“You better be. But either way, why’d you decide to strike up conversation?”

“What? I can’t talk to strangers now?” When did that become a law?”

“Okay, well when you put it like that…”

Marin chuckled softly as the man smirked and joked with her. He seemed like a nice guy

…

“Anyway, I was just heading home, I should probably-“

“Wait wait, let me walk you home. A young miss like you can’t be walking these streets alone. It’s dangerous.”

Marin’s eyebrows raised and she smiled brightly

“Okay! W-What’s you name? Since, yknow, we’re gonna be talking. I can’t just call you mister all the time”

“My apologies. My name is Goruko”

“Goruko. That’s an interesting name, I’ve never heard that one before”

“I’ve been told many times, my parents were creative”

Marin and Goruko joked and laughed about random stuff, varying from school, to embarrassing moments, to intrusive thoughts, etc. Goruko was a very talkative person. He seemed like a nice guy despite his ugly bastard look. But…

“Okay, this is my house. Bye Mr. Goruko!”

Marin smiled brightly and waved playfully at Goruko

“Drop the mister. It’s fine. Hey, how about we meet at the park? It’s only a few blocks down that way!”

Goruko points to his right

“Uhh, sure! I’d have to get my parents permission, but most likely, yeah! It’s a date, I guess, sorta. Nevermind, bye!”

Marin awkwardly ended the conversation after saying something she didn’t really mean to say, but nevertheless said it. Goruko was left standing at the entrance to her house. He looked down at the mailbox, then the street sign—pulling out a notepad. He writes down her address, then walks off. Smirking to himself

“She sure was a cutie~”
