My review/feedback to Baerskin - not too happy with quality/design
Here's my review and feedback to BS as I am not happy with the new hoodies at all. Just thought it might be hellful to anyone looking to buy the Baerskin Tactical 4.0 hooide, and like me, have previously owned a better quality BS hoodie.
Feedback on Baerskin 4.0 Hoodie
I’ve consistently purchased medium-sized Baerskin hoodies, and this time was no different. However, I’m quite disappointed with the new Baerskin 4.0. Compared to the previous versions I’ve owned, this one feels like a significant downgrade in both quality and design. Here are the specific issues I’ve noticed:
- Wind Protection: The fabric no longer blocks wind effectively, which was a key feature I appreciated in earlier versions.
- Hood Design: The hood is noticeably smaller and doesn’t provide adequate coverage for the face, leaving it exposed to the elements.
- Drawstring Mechanism: The cogs meant to secure the drawstring fail to hold it in place, making adjustments frustrating.
- Neck Coverage: There’s less fabric around the neck area, which leaves the back of the neck exposed when the hood is down—unlike previous versions that offered better coverage.
- Overall Length: The hoodie is shorter, which reduces warmth and coverage around the lower torso.
- Sleeve Length: The sleeves are shorter too, making it impossible to tuck your hands inside for extra warmth when needed.
Overall, I’m not satisfied with my purchase of two Baerskin 4.0 hoodies. The changes feel like a step backward, especially considering the price point. I’ve owned better-performing hoodies at half the cost.
I chose Baerskin based on my positive experience with your previous products and the promise of engineering for all four seasons. Unfortunately, the collar lacks the thickness and insulation that your marketing suggests, which adds to my disappointment.
