Hello everyone,

I have no idea where to begin with this story but I am at my wits end with this company.

I am a delivery driver in Hamburg, on May 14th I was making a delivery to a Rewe. The parking inspector saw me get out wearing a high vis jacket, unload the delivery and walk into rewe. He then ticketed my car and ran away. I tried to stop him and he drove right past me.

I called the company immediately, they told me to call back in 15 minutes, when I did the office was closed. A few weeks later I received a letter demanding payment, I immediately emailed them with proof that I was there delivering and only received an email confirming they had received it.

Another few weeks passes and they send me another letter asking for more money, I called them again and they said they never received an email, I told them I had the confirmation and he said “well you definitely didn’t send it from the email you said”, I only have one email address. I told the employee that the ticket inspector knew I was delivering there and his reply was “why are you telling me? I’m not his boss”.

This person had no interest in helping the situation, I sent proof again, received another confirmation email and he told me “You are from UK? You need to learn to follow the rules in Germany!” (I’m Irish)

Fast forward two months and they are still sending me payment demands for a crazy amount of money. I have sent proof on more than 4 occasions.

What can I actually do here? I’m not paying this predatory, unprofessional company a single cent.
