Conch and washing hair

Getting my conch and lobe pierced tomorrow, it’s been a while since getting a piercing so I cant really remember the healing process for cartilage piercings… can I wash my hair the same day I get it done? If yes, is there anything I should avoid or should I just proceed as normal and rinse it after and then wash with neilmed and pat with non woven gauze?
