girl friends keep trying to get me to date

as the title says. i'm 26f and i have essentially not had a relationship or romantic encounter since my teen years and i'm happy that way. i avoid romance pretty much as i don't really think i have the space or energy or time to deal with it, and i don't feel the itch to go out and seek anyone either. so if the itch comes, i'll be open to meeting guys, but for now as has been the case for years i'm happy keeping to myself and my life. that's all well and good

the thing is, i have a couple friends who seem convinced i'm not "living life to the fullest" and that i'm secretly upset that i'm not dating because they keep trying to set me up and get me "out of my comfort zone". at first this was very sweet obviously because it shows they're thinking about what they think will be improving my life.

but it's becoming increasingly more annoying as it got to a point where they rocked up to one of our hangouts with a couple of "guy friends" without telling me we'd be having extra people around (probably as they knew i wouldn't show up lol) and it just feels like they're really trying to force things. at one point they both went to the bathroom at once to leave me with those 3 guys and i suspected it was an attempt to get me to hit it off with one of them in hopes of something else happening? it was really annoying because i just wanted to see my girl friends, and now im sat with 3 dudes. the guys were generally nice and so this is nothing against them, it just isn't what im looking for and i felt bad for them because it did feel a bit like the bachelorette which i didn't sign up for and idk what they were told about me, but i feel like my disinterest must have been left out of it (otherwise surely no one would've showed up?) 😭

anyway other than this, almost every other time we hang out they suggest to me some guy they know even if it's someone they suggested the other time too. i told them multiple times i'm not interested in dating and i'm really quite okay with being single, if anything i prefer it but they are just not convinced. i know they're projecting their desires onto me and reacting very sweetly and helpfully to what they think i should want but it's just.. not what i want and i don't know how to get them to believe that😭
