My (f29) bf (m30) and I plan to move in together after 6 months, people are saying it’s too soon?
My boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months. We see eachother 5-6 days of the week typically, and have already gone on 2 international trips together including to a 3rd world country. On our last trip, we decided the time was right to move in together. I am ecstatic because I have never felt fully myself and comfortable with a partner before. We have similar goals for our future. We made a huge point when we first met to truly connect emotionally and have all the hard talks about goals and what we want individually for our future, before we became intimate with one another. It was hard, but I am so glad we waited and worked on our emotional bond. We both have been in long term relationships in our 20s, and have talked about them openly (what went wrong, what him or I could have done better, what we learned, etc.). The goal is with moving in together, that it’s the next step before engagement and marriage. We are both ecstatic, however I am worried what others may think saying it is too soon to live together. I’ve had mixed feedback from friends, the ones who have been around us both together have expressed happiness and excitement, while other friends who have not had as much time to get to know him have said it’s way too soon. It’s hard not to let the negative comments get to me, but I am also so ready to start my future.
TLDR: Bf and I plan to move in after 6 months of spending almost every day together. I am worried about what others may think.
