Simultaneous vs. Staggered Feeding Thoughts?

advice needed

We’re first-time parents of mono/di twins born at 35 weeks and 6 days. They’re almost 6 weeks old now and have significant reflux and digestive issues—they need to be held upright after feeds, have lots of gas, and sleep in staggered 1.5–2 hour stretches. One parent managing both babies overnight has been really overwhelming.

We’re trying to figure out the best approach to managing sleep, feeding, and sanity. Specifically:

  • Has anyone found success using schedules, apps, or courses like Mom’s on Call, Taking Cara Babies, etc.—especially with twins who are preemies with reflux?
  • Did you use shifts or try to sync your twins to the same schedule early on? What worked for you?
  • Do you base routines on adjusted age or actual age? Ours would be just over 1 week old adjusted, but that feels off given how alert and awake they are, we’re struggling with how to apply age-based guidance.

Thanks so much!
