AITA for going no contact with my mom.

AITA

I 32-year-old female have a mother that over the years has tried to control everything in my life. When I mean everything, I mean EVERYTHING. For example, I took a cosmetology course while I was in my last semester of high school. My mom paid for all so I had no student loan. My plan was to work in a hair salon while in college. Well college was not in my mom's plans and did not support me going. I love my job as a hairstylist and as I got older, I did take some college classes, and I know hairstyling is my passion. FastForward to a couple hours ago. After dropping my 2 oldest kids at school my son (1 year old) and I stopped by my mom's house for breakfast. My dad and mom where both at home. My dad recently had to get prescription eyeglasses. My mom made a comment because he wears them all day. She said, "why are you wearing glasses if your just home"? My dad said, "I need them". She answered back with "We are the same age, and I can see perfectly fine". She usually makes really comments to my dad and lately I have been contradicting her out of spite to somehow defend him in a way. "I said "so what I've wore glasses my entire life". She said, "there you go again competing for your dad's attention." A couple weeks ago she gifted me a watch. I love watches and I really liked the gesture. She complained to me that she's never giving me anything again because she never sees me wearing it. At this point I was getting really irritated because every time me or my kids get a gift from her, she wants us to praise her for it. In an aggressive tone I replied with " I've giving you a few luxury gifts to and I never see you use them. She looked shocked and said, "oh look at the little B****". It's not new that she uses that language towards me. I continued the visit like nothing happened like we usually do but as I continued, I would try and have a conversation, but she would not respond or look at me even. This behavior is not new. Maybe it my age or life but I no longer have the energy to deal with this type of behavior from anyone! even my mom. I calmy got up and said, " If you're going to be mad then stay mad i am leaving". As my son and I were walking out the door she said, "I didn't even say anything or even looked at you, F*** O**!" The only reason I would continue to speak to her is because my dad and brother that still lives with her. I know they would continue speaking to me regardless, but it would cause them a fight with my mom. If i stop speaking to her it would mean as little contact as possible with my other family members.
