Sorta wish JP boost wasn’t in the game

I’m currently half way through Chapter 2. I find myself wanting to take JP boost off and utilize some of the cooler abilities I’ve unlocked in its place, but then realize how much slower it will be getting to my goal jobs and getting their abilities online.

I’ll probably take it off either way, but it just sort feels bad. Would it really be that bad if JP boost didn’t exist, and base JP gain was the same as if JP boost was always on? I’ve played this game since I was a kid, and am only now having this odd dilemma, anyone else hit with this weird realization lol?
