🏡 Homeownership in Katy, TX: “Congrats, you bought a house… now go broke slowly.” 😂
Remember when buying a home was supposed to be the big flex? “Set for life, locked-in payments, stability, the American Dream.” Yeah… fast forward to 2025 and it feels more like:
- Taxes: 📈
- Insurance: 📈
- Groceries: 📈
- Paychecks: …lol, nice try. 🤡
Add in AI slowly taking jobs (shoutout to the robot that might be answering this post 👀), and suddenly “owning a home” feels less like stability and more like signing up for a lifetime subscription to stress + bills premium edition.
Katy’s awesome — schools, family vibe, Whataburger on every corner — but tell me why it feels like the American Dream is slowly turning into the American Scream? 💀
