[TOMT] Need help identifying a song

I thought of a random lyric/sound from a song and cannot figure out what song it is. It is an older song with a male singer. In a lower pitch he goes “mmm buh ba bah, buh ba bah, bah buh.” For some reason in my mind he’s holding a guitar (maybe bass guitar?) gets close to the mic and says this in a lower pitch. It is not The Breakup Song by The Greg Kihn Band. Please help!! lol here’s a vocaroo https://voca.ro/12Tkk7dEcEHy
