Passport application on hold at RPO Kolkata

Hey everyone,

I need some help regarding my passport application.

My application is currently on hold at RPO Kolkata with the status showing “Document Re-submission Required.” I’ve already booked an enquiry appointment, but before I go, I wanted to check with others who’ve had similar experiences.

Do they usually ask for parent's documents as well during document re-submission?

Also, the notice mentions submitting a document before 1987, but all the documents I currently have are after 1987.

If anyone has faced this situation, could you please suggest what kind of alternative documents RPO Kolkata might accept as proof for something before 1987?

Any guidance or personal experience would really help.
