Im getting tired of the "S1 was once in a lifetime " type thing, because i feel it as a poor excuse, when many other IPs proves it wrong.
Is very common to hear that OPM S1 was a "once in a lifetime project and there was no way to have anything like that again"
Except that they are wrong. We couldve had more seasons lile that or close enought, or atleast way better than what JC staff could ever pull, if only the owners of One Punch Man cared about giving a good product.
Why Mob Psycho 100 can have 3 peak animated seasons in a row but One Punch Man cant? And all three seasons had imo even greater animation than OPM S1
Why Demon Slayer, JJK and the likes can have multiple seasons + movies with peak animation but One Punch Man cant?
Why Frieren, which is adapted by the same studio as OPM S1 can pull a 28 episodes season with god tier production, and with a sequel coming soon with very likely the same level but One Punch Man cant?
Thats why i say, that the whole "once in a lifetime" thing is just a poor excuse, when there are many IPs out there that care about consistency and maintaining the level. After S1 maybe we couldnt had the exagt same team, but atleast they could give us other people that can pull something of the same level. But as i said, Bandai Namco, who are the owners of OPM, dont give a shit about giving us a quality product.
