Nigar - Ibrahim - Matracki situationship

I am a bit confused with Matracki hatred towards Nigar, but undying loyalty for Ibrahim.

When he was announced that would mary a woman from the harem was excited until Ibrahim reaveled it would only be a cover plan so he can be with Nigar. He was hostile towards her but not Ibrahim.

He starts drinking heavily and blames on Nigar....but his beast friend and boss pushed him to that situation, also made him lie to Hatice's face.

What is this double standard Effendi?
