deleted some override file and really paranoid

hello, im really new to emulating, i own an anbernic rg40xxh and lately i was playing ps1 games and i noticed my settings weren't being saved on retroarch.

i saw online it was because that I didn't unload an override file, so i tried it and instead my dumbass removed it. (the files name is pcsx rearmed.cfg, im not so sure but it was a cfg file)

so i got paranoid and started looking for it and trying to find answers but I can't really find nothing about it, and its really bothering me that its gone.

i did eject the sd card and try to look for the so called "parent directory" but im assuming its in the internal storage itself? what bothers me if everything else in the directory has a .cfg file except the pcsx rearmed folder😭

did i mess up? this whole thing was making me want to start fresh all over again, i don't know if this is some goofy ocd thing
