do it break up in person or text

I've been with this guy for about 9 months now but whenever things get a little spicy I get this feeling hes recording or taking pictures of me when im exposed, he'd lay his head on my chest in a way I cant see his hands or face, his phone always on him during these times and its freaking me out. I may be paranoid because its not the first time this has happened to me (with another guy). im too nervous/scared to ask about it in person but I also dont want to be paranoid and in a relationship. whenever I felt so.e type of way I always ignored it and pushed it away but now im starting to feel dirty and insecure about myself. im not sure if it would be okay to do it over text
