that twenties india post messed me up
lately i’ve been feeling super insecure. i’ve never been in a relationship, and maybe that’s why it hits harder. when no one’s ever chosen you, it’s easy to start believing something’s wrong with you.
i feel bad about my skin color sometimes.i am light brown or wheatish (honey skin).i wish i was fairer. then i catch myself wanting a fair-skinned girl, even though i know girls also want fair-skinned guys.
i want a girl with a nice jawline, but i don’t even have one myself. i want a tall girl, but i’m only 5'8. not short, but not tall enough to feel confident either.
If these are my beauty standards then girls also do have same beauty standards as me.
and honestly, even if i got the girl i want, i don’t think i’d feel satisfied. deep down i wanna be attractive to like 60% of girls. i want that validation so bad, even though i know it’s never gonna happen.
a few days ago i saw this post on twenties india that said something like “if you’re not good looking, it’s over for you, accept your fate.” and it’s been stuck in my head since then. it actually messed with my mindset. like i keep thinking, what if that’s true? I know i am not bad looking but when you talk about skin colour and height I might feel way too much insecure.
sometimes i wonder if guys in relationships feel the same. do they still get insecure, or does it calm down once someone actually chooses you? or maybe being single just makes that voice louder.
idk. insecurity just lives in me. every second it’s there, reminding me i’m not enough.
does anyone else feel like this? or am i just overthinking it?
