Am I being too much?

Advice

Ok, so there's this girl in my school (17F, I'm 16M). I've been in love with her for the past year and a half. But like really in love, to me she's just the nicest, prettiest, most wholesome person there is, and I totally feel like I want to spend my life with her. HOWEVER We've dated for about a month, 6 months ago. Then she realized the didn't actually have feelings for me, rather loved me like a really close friend. That really hurt, but I love her too much to be mad at her about it, also it's basically her only remotely love-related experience she's ever had so, everyone can get it wrong the first time. When we split up, she said she really liked me as a friend and wanted to stay that way. Ever since then, I tried texting her from time to time, talking to her when I see her IRL, walking home from school with her sometimes, etc. I still love her and she knows that, I wrote a huge message for her during the holidays, telling her honestly how I felt. Since we've been going back to school, I stopped texting her, but started talking a bit more when we see each other IRL, and walking home with her after school, not more often but I walk with her until we get to her house (which is further than mine). I know there will never be anything between us, it's just the last year of school, so I kinda gave up on moving on until the end of the year, and it just makes me happy seeing her and spending time with her. So are my feelings too much, and do I try too hard being around her? (She doesn't seem embarrassed about it)
