How fast did your endo grow back after surgery?

My doctor told me I had a good 5-10 years pain free after excision surgery. I had surgery in May, endo is already back in full swing by mid September. I still thought I was just healing, but I thought wrong- I go back for my consultation to have another surgery tomorrow. Is this normal/ average for it come back in a few months, or do I just have the worst luck?
