RV habits of Iowans?

Hey everyone. Got a curious question for y’all. I’m from out of state. Just visiting a friend here in Iowa and I noticed an unusual amount of people own expensive RVs and take them to local parks. For example this weekend we visited a park along the river and all the license plates on the RVs were from Iowa. I was expecting many of them would be from out of state. My friend pointed out the counties on the license plates and nearly all of them were local counties. A large group of people were playing bean bag toss, which seems like an activity you could do in your back yard. My friend thought it was funny how I reacted to this so I wanted to make a post here and see how many others in Iowa that own RVs just take them out to the local county park to vacation there. Is this a common thing?

I posted this over on Iowa Reddit to see what they say but it’s awaiting moderator approval. I’m just wondering if this seems weird to my fellow Wisconsin residents. If I owned an RV I wouldn’t vacation to a local park in my county to play a game of bean bag toss. If I vacationed with my RV I’m either going out of state with it or I’m going to door county, devils lake or somewhere up north.
