People need to just chill a little

I’m going to copy and paste a comment I made on another thread because I think the reaction to our recent form from some supporters has been ridiculous. This doesn’t even include anything about Jota which has clearly affected the team. I know how loss and grief affects people and it is absolutely ridiculous that people just ignore that fact and don’t take into account how that would be affecting players.

Anyway here’s the comment:

“Yeah we were so shit that we won the league. What a load of bullshit. Only new Liverpool supporters would be complaining. We’ve won the league twice in 30 years and now everyone is acting like we have to immediately win another trophy.

Like chill the fuck out, other teams win nothing for ages and everyone is crying that they need more time, Liverpool are one point off the top of the league and people act like we are a shit team.

We are financially set for years to come regardless of what we win this season. We can easily afford to go the season without winning anything.

People mocking Salah are insane, it’s like him being consistent over the last 8 years has proven nothing. People have short memories and love to talk out of their ass. You don’t leave out or sub a player like Mo, he can be in the worst form ever, not present in the game at all and still score goals.

Everyone said Arne slot would be fired in his first season and we won the league. Everyone should start to focus on their own teams. Everyone said Man City were shit last season, but they are the best team in England over the last 10 years. Newcastle just won their first trophy in decades but then everyone suckles on their cocks even though they too are not performing at the moment.

So what is important, is it current form? Trophies? Historical success? Finances? Because everyone seems to bend the story to fit their own agenda. When we hadn’t won the league for 30 years then Liverpool are shit. Then we win the league and we get no respect. Then we win the champions league for the 6th time and get no respect. We develop ourselves naturally into one of the biggest financial powerhouses in the history of English football and we get no respect. We were 48 hours away from administration 15 years ago but get 0 respect for turning it all around.

We won the league last season in Slots first season and people talk shit that it was easy etc. the hardest the premier league has ever been but we were lucky.

We are one point off the top of the league and everyone knows we are not up to form, but we are still competing at the highest level and we get no respect.

Make up your minds. We are successful on every single front, we are historically the most successful club in England. We are currently one of the best teams in the world. Why do other supporters have such a hard on for talking shit about a team that you know is better than yours from the ground up? Is it just jealousy?”

TLDR: we are in an amazing position as a football club, chill the fuck out and remember where we have come from. Don’t turn on your own team because other losers have 0 respect for our club.
