Is this a historically accurate depiction of a French line infantry fusilier (1807–1808)?
I'm working on a visual and educational project focused on the appearance and gear of a typical Napoleonic French line infantry fusilier from around 1807–1808.
I’ve created several AI-based illustrations using various reference materials and want to make sure the uniform and equipment details I’ve included are historically accurate for the period. This project doesn’t cover Old Guard or elite troops—just a standard line fusilier as he might have appeared on campaign.
With each new draft, I notice missing items or incorrect placements, and sometimes I come across details that weren’t mentioned in earlier sources at all. It’s been a challenge to catch everything, especially since images generated by AI aren’t allowed on this forum. That means I may be overlooking things that an expert would spot right away just from visuals. I’d appreciate it if you could take a look at the following breakdown and let me know if anything seems inaccurate or is missing.
