Questioning my sexuality (again) as a lesbian of 3 years

Support

As the title suggests, I've been using the lesbian label for 3 years. It's important to mention that I'm only 17, so I'm still pretty young and "inexperienced" with the dating pool. I've had two girlfriends, one I dated when I was 15 (let's call her olive), and one I just broke up with a couple months ago.

Before I started dating Olive, I identified as bi-questioning/bisexual, and was convinced I liked guys since I had crushes on both male and female fictional characters in books. I was also struggling with religious trauma, being raised in a conservative household. After meeting Olive in an all-girls catholic school, I developed feelings for her and it made me realize that I was struggling with comphet and "wasn't actually attracted to men". I then started identifying as a lesbian ever since.

At the start of this year, I graduated and enrolled in a tertiary school that happens to be coed. My friend introduced me to this family friend of hers, who we wld call August. The three of us grew closer as schoolmates aft recent months, and we would constantly go out for lunch together as a trio. For a quick glimpse of personality, August is someone who is extremely into politics. He's very passionate about queer rights and women's rights. However, even though he believes in democracy, he is also a devoted catholic. As you could probably guess, me, an absolutely gay ass motherfucker, has started to think that I have a crush on August.

Something that may be important is that he's a very feminine man with fem facial features and build. Part of the reason why I'm stuck in this mental dilemma is because I've only had experience with dating the same gender, and have never tried dating the opposite gender. Furthermore, my classmates and friends also seem to think that I'm a lesbian, considering that I dress and act more masc. I'm not sure how people would react if I go from lesbian to bi. I know this is a common phenomenon that has been happening, and I don't want to be one of those sapphics that "turn straight" after meeting the right man. I'm still very attracted to women.

Furthermore, what if my hunch turns out to be wrong and I only like August because he's one of the "better few" and because he looks more feminine? Maybe I'm just struggling with comphet again and I'm making myself like him since a man would offer me more stability and acceptance from my family. I also don't want to disappoint my fellow queer friends by suddenly coming out as bisexual after all that talk about being a lesbian.

I'm not a very religious person and don't see myself marrying into a nuclear family. Furthermore, the thought of sleeping with a man makes me feel uncomfortable. I am demisexual so it is quite hard to tell if these feelings stem from lack of attraction or if I'm just not into men. I know I have the right to explore labels and my sexuality, but I can't help but feel scared since this is new to me.
