iPhone 17 Vs Samsung Galaxy s25 for a life long android user

Hello, so I switching over from my Pixel 6a,since it has met it's maker , and was considering going to the iPhone route this time .I really like the base 17 as it has 256gb storage now and 120hz .

I have always bought budget to mid range phones on the android side and have always been annoyed as after over a year they start lagging and being buggy. Compared to people I know who use iPhone , seem to have no complaints even after 3 years .

Now the thing is, here in Pakistan the new iPhone 17 is around 450 usd more expensive than the base s25 (comes only in 512 gb here ) Even though on paper the iPhone does seem better , but is it 450 usd better ?

I am past my uni days where I wanted to customize everything about my phone , I now just want a device that works reliablly and will last me 3-4 years .I don't game , I don't use heavy apps , it's just work related apps or social media. If I am going flagship, I don't want a buggy experience a year or so down the road .
