The annoying bugs...

Does anyone have any tips for dealing with bugs better when playing solo? The number of times I've screamed in rage when one of those alien bugs came at me from the back is worthy of a heavy metal band, because DAAAMN how coward it is coming from behind and double attack your life to zero, so I wanted to know if someone knew how to deal with these bugs, I only have as a solution grab the air missile strike to destroy at least five nests in a row and two sentries, hence, I don't know how to make those missions easier and less annoying. Bugs are so annoying that I can say this with all security: Automatons in difficulty 4 or 5 are way more fun than these bugs even at level 1...
