Sugar free gum

I’ve always been a big gum chewer, was recently told to make sure I’m really only using sugar free gum. At the store all the packages say 0 total sugars but 2g of sugar alcohols.

Are these sugar alcohols still fine to not expose my teeth to the negative effects of normal sugar??
