tight bras & back lumps - is there shapewear for this?
I've always been large in the chest. I work from home and don't dress nicely very often these days, so I've been wearing very stretchy sports bras exclusively for months. The last time I had a professional in-person engagement was 4 months and 25 pounds ago, and my bra was already too loose, which was very uncomfortable and required constant adjustment. Those bras are now way too loose to be useful, so I went out and got a new one, and spent a lot of time (and money, damn those things aren't cheap!) getting one that fit me perfectly.
The downside is that the new bra fits the band around my chest exactly to the point of what flesh I have, and I'm now pretty squishy because I've lost over 40 pounds. It's great in that it is able to architecturally buttress me against the weight of gravity, but unfortunately I'm squishing out on all sides around it.
Is there some sort of shapewear for the back and side lumps? I've seen body suits and camisoles that have an open bust to account for your own bra, but they all seem to be focused on making your waist smaller, which I would prefer to avoid because I find tight garments around my belly to be uncomfortable (I've had GERD since I was a teen and get nausea and constipation as a side effect - I can manage these with medication but having tight things around my stomach makes them worse). Would just wearing a regular camisole or slip help clothing not cling to my bulges? Any other idea for helping me to smooth out while I need to wear something tight to hold me up that causes me to squish out?
