i (22f) need help communicating how i feel to my boyfriend (23m)
hello everyone,
last month i (22f) got my first pap smear and my results were high risk, HPV positive. i got a colposcopy and everything is alright, just some low grade stuff and precancer that i simply have to follow up with regular pap smears. this made me kind of anxious about the big C word at first, but it seems easy enough to treat. i am pretty sure i got it from my bf (23m) of almost 2 years, because before him, i had one other sexual partner and we strictly had sex with condoms.
we did not have sex from last month until last night. i was anxious because it had been a while and i couldn't tell how he was feeling. i was on top and he told me he felt good, but he wasnt making any noise and was just looking at me, which made me feel kind of bad because i was working up a sweat and moaning. we switched to doggy and i was less anxious lol, but after he finished i started crying and couldn't tell why. i just guessed that it made me anxious that i couldn't tell what he was feeling during sex but i couldn't come up with a way to explicitly ask for more verbal cues (e.g moaning, saying what feels good) during sex.
after we talked a little bit, he told me hes been having a hard time getting horny from the guilt of giving me hpv. i havent tried to guilt trip him at all about this, because in my eyes, whats done is done and its not a big deal. he has also felt guilty that he hasnt ever taken any std tests, whereas i regularly have for chlamydia/gonorrhea because its been offered to me every time i have an inspection lmao. i have been feeling pretty physically neglected from the dry spell and can tell he just hasn't been as horny as he used to be.
what can i say to help alleviate his guilt and help encourage making noise during sex?
