Ender3 direct drive clogging in small piece of Bowden tube.

Troubleshooting

I have an old ender 3. I converted it to direct drive a long time ago and never had any issue with it. Recently I had the temp probe crack and the threads that hold the nozzle were messed up so o decided to just get a whole new extruded. I got the creality brand off of amazon for around 30$ connected everything and it all leveled out and worked great for the first 20 min then it stops printing and the Bowden tube is packed tight with material. I have changed the retraction from orginal 5 down to 2 and I’ve increased the temp by 15 degree to hottest recommend on the filament but still no luck. What should I try next. I don’t want to upgrade this machine massively I don’t think it’s a good investment. I just would like to continue to trouble shoot the issue
