Why do ppl compare Pokemon to Digimon?

The only similarity they have is the cute animals. Other than that, they are very different. Digimon lives in a seperate world and the normal human don't even know they exist. Plus Digimon speaks the human language, not random words like pokemon do. Also the evolving in Digimon isn't permanent and the kids were forced into their destiny but ash from pokemon chose what he wanted to do. Normally a digimon is trying to destroy the human world so the kids has to save the world from being destroyed. Idk why ppl compare this to pokemon. Plus in season 5, the villain is a human who is trying to eradicate digimon from existence because he believes digimon are evil
