Use of AAS to "treat" damaged muscles.
Hello everyone. Male 31 years, living in Sweden.
A long time ago in a diving accident i tore my back muscles and displaced two discs L2 and L3. The discs aren't really giving my any grief, however my back muscles are a real pain and I've lived with chronic back pain for the last 16 years.
Now I've been in contact with Swedish doctors and they refer me to physiotherapy but that only worked partly, the muscles surrounding the scar tissue are too weak so they are constantly tense and inflamed. So i was wondering if there is any precedent to treating damaged muscles with AAS (anabolic steroids)?
I've been thinking that if i could get some via a doctor and do physiotherapy & strength training for core strength that maybe i can build up the surrounding muscles to the point that the back muscles might be strong enough that they stop hurting? If anyone knows anything about this feel free to share.
And if anyone is thinking, no I'm not about to take it unless i get it from a doctor.
