Advice for a newly hatched chick
Hi girls! I came out just over a month ago and I’m going through all the ups and downs (so I would also appreciate some general advice in the comments), but there are a few things I want to get a head start in figuring out, and if I’ve learned anything from years of academia, it’s that I shouldn’t try to reinvent the wheel. So, a few things I need help with:
Shaving my face. I absolutely cannot ever manage to shave my face clean without terrible razor bumps/ingrown hairs/acne/whatever. I’m in my 20s so my facial hair is not very thin anymore, and unless I shave really close the shadow is there. Any tips or alternatives? Waxing has been suggested but I’m just not entirely sure whether or not that’s been successful for many of you girls(?), and I’m also concerned about the timeframe. If you wax your face, how long is it usually before you need to wax again compared to shaving?
Shaving my body. I’m not super duper concerned here. I like girls with body hair and I know girls will like me with or without body hair, but I do want to try keeping my chest and tummy clean shaven to see how I like it. Any tips for avoiding razor bumps and ingrown hairs there?
Hair. Like on my head. I started balding really early, and my hairline is capital-R Receding. I know that when I get on hormones I will probably also be prescribed something to help with that, but in the mean time I’m unsure whether I want to try growing it out at all yet. I like girls with a buzz cut and I think that might be hot so I’m considering doing that while I see whether or not my hairline returns, but I’m also thinking about wigs. Anybody have any tips about either growing out your hair despite a receding hairline, or about trying wigs?
Ofc I have a billion more questions but I also know that I’ll hit the learning curve running, so any other general tips would be nice—or just some inspirational anecdotes :)
