Spotify Lossless just arrived in Cyprus!

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but Spotify Lossless finally rolled out in Cyprus.

I’ve been checking literally every day since the announcement, and I just got it today.

Confirmed with a few friends and family too, so it seems to be officially live here.

For anyone wondering what Lossless actually means:

Regular Spotify streams at up to 320 kbps MP3 quality, which is compressed audio, some detail is removed to keep file sizes small.

Lossless, on the other hand, keeps all the original data from the recording, usually in FLAC or ALAC format.

It’s like going from an MP3 to a CD, you get cleaner highs, richer detail, and no compression artifacts.

File sizes are bigger (around 1 GB per hour, also displayed in the Spotify UI, instead of ~300 MB), but if you have good headphones or speakers, it’s absolutely worth it.
