Volunteering Opportunity with DATA

Hey everyone!

If you're looking for volunteer and clinical experience opportunities and a rewarding way to give back to the community, Dementia Art Therapy Alliance (DATA) at UCSD, will be hosting some volunteering visits with local memory care facilities. We work with residents that have dementia or other neurodegenerative diseases and lead simple, fun arts and crafts sessions with them.

This is a great opportunity if you:

• are looking for clinical and volunteering hours for medical, PA, or nursing school.
• want experience working with the geriatric population/older adults.
• want to make a direct impact and build meaningful connections through community service.
• love art and want to share that passion!

Our visits will be on Saturdays at 1:30pm. We typically take the bus/shuttle there all together to the memory care facility. If we're working with a facility that's only reachable by car, rides will be provided for those who need it!
