Guest at lunch was difficult; apologize to waiters in person or by email?
I had a business lunch today where my guest was difficult: among other things, my guest had booked a second meeting at the same restaurant and so I was kind of encouraged to leave and my guest’s second meeting started at the same table where we had been sitting, and my guest’s second meeting was pretty finicky about everything.
Is an apology from me to the wait staff in person the way to go here, or is emailing them equally acceptable?
The meal was at a private club where I am a member and I see the staff over and over. They are delightful.
Thanks.
