What are some fun activities for dad and two teens (boy13,girl17)to do for a few hours, while I plan a surprise party for dad ?

Planning a surprise party for hubby but I need to get him out the house to setup. He's normally pretty clingy to me and homebody. I cant get him to go out his boys because again he prefers to stick under me. I dont mind it but now i need space to setup. It has to be with the kids because they are the only other people he will hang out with besides me and without me. He is a family man and prefers doing things with his family. I have already told him that he's doing something with the kids on his birthday. But I can't think of anything. He's not a hiker or fisher. He doesn't drink. Any ideas.
