Stuff the show leaves out

I just watched season 3 episode 19 where the guy blows himself up in the ER. Anyone else get frustrated with the lack of emotional resolution this show has? 😩 I just wanted to see ONE moment between Casey and severide to show something. I guess this is why fan fiction exists 😅
