Question About Behavior

Hi all, recently my beardie has been going into his cave a bit more than usual. When je does he turns dark. He is still active, alert and has a healthy appetite. when he has supervised time out of his enclosure, he remains curious and explorative as usual. Is this a cause for concern? some days he goes into his cave more than others. he doesn’t fall asleep just chills there.
