I'm trying out my first pony today! any tips?

I will be asking to catch, tack up and everything so I know how she is to do that stuff, if it all goes well we will be taking her home! she is going to be my first project pony.

Does anyone have any tips/tricks or smthn they wanna share about trying out a pony/horse?
