Surgery with negative mri?

Have any of you gotten a surgery with a negative mri, as in they couldn’t clearly find the tumor. I was speaking to a neurosurgeon and he said 10% of the time they don’t have a clear tumor on the mri and go in, they find it during surgery 90% of the time. I’ve had 3 mri’s so far with no clear image of a tumor and don’t really feel like doing ipss. Id rather skip it and go straight to surgery and hope they find it during discovery.
