Pending class action lawsuit against CUPW and its 55,000 members. You will be able to join soon!
FYI I was informed today by my business lawyer that a pending class action lawsuit is about to be filed against CUPW and its members.
Ottawa, Ontario — October 6, 2025 — A class action lawsuit is expected to be filed imminently against the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) and its approximately 55,000 members. The lawsuit is being prepared by one of Canada’s largest law firms and is anticipated to be submitted to the Supreme Court of Canada in the coming days.
Further details, including instructions on how to join the lawsuit, will be announced shortly. The action seeks compensation for businesses and individuals who have suffered financial losses as a result of the recent CUPW strike, which was announced on September 25 without any prior notice. Many affected parties were unable to access paid goods or inventory, resulting in permanent financial loss.
The lawsuit will cover multiple cases in which CUPW’s actions caused direct harm. For example, businesses may have experienced inventory loss, disrupted operations, or other financial damages. Whether the strike ends or continues, this legal action will address all losses incurred during this period.
As CUPW is a national union, all branches and members may be held responsible for the damages incurred.
Hopefully this is the nail in the coffin for these crooks! They will learn soon enough their wreck-less actions have consequences. It will be officially announced soon, cant imagine how much damages will add up. The strike already cost me over 20K so far for my small business which could have been avoided if we knew ahead of time.
