Changing from a Single Name to First + Last Name in Mangalore – Need Help & Info!

Hey everyone!
I currently have a single name on all my documents (government IDs, bank records, work records, etc.), but I’m planning to change it to a first name and last name format.
I’m based in Mangalore, and I have a few questions:

- Has anyone here done this before?
- Is it possible to do this on my own, or do I need to go through a broker/agent?
- If brokers are better, do you have any reliable contacts?
- How long does the whole process usually take?

Any guidance, personal experiences, or tips would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!🙏
