AirPods Pro 3 vs Pro 2 for heavy gym use — worth paying 60% more?
Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between the AirPods Pro 3 and the AirPods Pro 2 for my daily workouts, and could really use some feedback from people who’ve actually used them during gym sessions.
Here’s my context: • I train ~2 hours of weights + 1 to 1.5 h of cardio almost every day. • I’m a heavy sweater, but I rarely go outdoors (and when I do, it’s quiet, dry areas — no rain or traffic noise). • I always have a way to charge my earbuds, so slightly shorter battery life isn’t a deal-breaker. • I really value strong ANC, since I like to block out gym noise and focus. • I’d like the pair I buy to last for years — so I’m thinking about future-proofing too. • I don’t currently have any heart rate tracking device, so that new sensor on the Pro 3 caught my attention, though it’s not the main reason I’d upgrade.
Prices I can get: • AirPods Pro 2 (brand-new): USD 190 • AirPods Pro 3: USD 315
So that’s about a 60% price difference.
